Jesuit Communications Foundation (JesCom), in cooperation with the Ateneo de Manila University Jesuit community, invites the faithful to a “Mass of Healing & Reconciliation for the Total Health of the Individual, Society and the Human Family” at 9AM this Sunday, June 14.
Airing live from the Church of the Gesu via the Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM Facebook page (facebook.com/radyokatipunan), the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ honors our Lord’s presence in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, allowing us to heal and restore our lives amidst the brokenness caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
With “Nada te turbes” to be sung for Prayers of the Faithful and the Rite of Benediction to be held upon the mass’ conclusion, the Feast of Corpus Christi offers us an opportunity to thank Christ’s humble sacrifice as food and drink, sustaining us through these challenging times.
Presiding at Sunday’s Eucharistic celebration and delivering the homily is acclaimed Jesuit composer, Fr. Manoling Francisco SJ, who has led the Ateneo’s charitable efforts since the start of the pandemic. Assisting as altar servers are Fr. Jason Dy SJ and Fr. JR Orbeta SJ, chaplain of the Ateneo professional schools. Serving as master of ceremonies is JesCom Executive Director Fr. Nono Alfonso SJ, while fellow priests from the Jesuit Residence will comprise the morning’s choir.
From the onset of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), JesCom and Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM have tirelessly served the faithful through its initiative “Keeping the Faith: Daily Mass for Difficult Times”. Help support our media ministry by making a donation via https://bit.ly/Keeping-the-Faith.
