JesCom on Television
Believing that the mass audience in the Philippines is best reached through broadcast media, JesCom produces programs that regularly air on television and radio. Among JesCom’s most popular TV programs are Kape’t Pandasal, a brief daily reflection and prayer aired prior to ABS-CBN’s morning show Umagang Kay Ganda; as well as The Word Exposed and Soul Mix on TV 5.
Kape’t Pandasal
(Mondays to Fridays, 5:13 a.m., ABS CBN)
This brief reflection and prayer, undertaken in partnership with ABS-CBN is meant to be a "spiritual vitamin" to begin each day. The daily reflections are written and hosted by Jesuit priests and brothers, with the special participation of Imus Cavite Bishop Chito Tagle and Kerygma Magazine EIC Rissa Singson-Kawpeng.
Soul Mix
(Saturdays, 6:00–7:00 a.m., TV5)
Rise up for this all-inspirational and gospel music television show that features songs from the collection of the Jesuit Music Ministry, as well as current chart toppers from the OPM scene. Taking turns in hosting are Fr. Oliver Dy, SJ, PJ Lanot, Lala Jara, Rizza Diaz and PBB’s Mikee Lee. Soul Mix presents a new format that is more interactive, with a special feature called “Re-Question: Requested Questions from the Heart” where the VJs read out questions emailed by viewers and answer them with words of advice and encouragement.
The Word Exposed
with Bishop Chito Tagle
(Sundays, 7:00–8:00 a.m., TV5)
The Word Exposed featuring Bishop Chito Tagle is an hour-long program that showcases Bishop Tagle in his true form as preacher and homilist. Here, Bishop Tagle shares his reflections and insights on the Sunday scriptures — the first and second readings and the Gospel — in a manner that is very down-to-earth, crystal clear, awe-inspiring, and yet very simple to understand and appreciate. This program aims to bring the teachings of the Word closer to the lives of audience.
The Word Exposed, First Reading, 7 March 2010
The Word Exposed, Second Reading, 7 March 2010
The Word Exposed, Gospel (Part 1), 7 March 2010
The Word Exposed, Gospel (Part 2), 7 March 2010
Humayo’t Ihayag – Sunday Mass on TV5
(Sundays, 8:00–9:00 a.m., TV5)
Humayo’t Ihayag is the new Sunday Mass on TV5. Special features of the Mass include a series of visual montage that put viewers in proper contemplative mood for prayer and reflection. Video footages and artful renditions of text are also being shown to enhance the message of the scriptures. Text prompts for communal prayers and responses, and lyrics are flashed on-screen so viewers could sing along to during the Mass. In many respects, Humayo’t Ihayag is indeed a Mass that TV audience will find meaningful and prayerful.

Nono Alfonso, S.J. serves as DJ to the listeners of the Catholic radio station, playing reflective music both pop and religious, and listening to callers who ask for advice or who simply want to share their stories. But Heartbeat does not intend to simply be an FM program on an AM station. Through songs and reflections, it intends to lead its listeners closer to the primary heartbeat of the One true and creative source of music and insight. Airs Sundays, 11:00 pm-12:00 am on Radio Veritas DZRV 846 kHz AM.

Usapang Kapatid invites listeners to open up and share on-air their souls’ burdens and their lives’ troubles with spiritual mentors Fr. Nono Alfonso, S.J., Sr. Bubbles Bandojo, R.C., and lay mother Betsy Fuentes. Airs Saturdays 10:30-12:00 p.m. on DZMM 630 KHz.

Hopefully, the audience ends up being enriched, refreshed, and inspired in their own faith and in their own lives. Airs Mondays to Fridays 1 pm on Radio Veritas DZRV 846 kHz AM.

"Kwento ng mga Peregrino”
A Jescom Lenten TV Special
“Kuwento ng mga Peregrino” (“Tales of Pilgrims”) unfolds the voyage of six Filipino pilgrims to Holy Places around Europe – Assisi and Rome, Italy; Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal; Avila, Spain; and Our Lady of Lourdes in France. With the guidance of Bishop Chito Tagle and Fr. Nono Alfonso, SJ, each destination brings about revelations on their spiritual struggles and journeys as well as God’s love for them.
A young and single ovarian cancer patient, a black sheep, a devoted wife afflicted with lung cancer, and a retired couple travel together halfway around the world to commune with God and seek His will for their lives. Will they get what they pray for?
Gems Pasimio is battling with ovarian cancer for the second time. When diagnosed with the disease at the prime of her singlehood, she took every step toward healing, even if it meant taking out one of her ovaries. But with the recurrence of her cancer, Gems has simply decided to seal her fate by accepting and just waiting for her death. Her long bucket list, now almost fulfilled, includes a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Will Gem’s pilgrimage be her moment of truth?
Raffy Calma is a picture of success. He has everything – the looks, the brains, the money, the influence, and the girls – but nothing made sense. He has lived in the Philippines and USA, and had also traveled around the world in pursuit of the absolute truth. Will Raffy’s pilgrimage be the end of his search?
Couple Rod and Anna Castelo face the reality of death everyday. Anna, mother of four young children, is afflicted with lung cancer. Both husband and wife are Marian devotees and not a moment goes by without pleading for Anna’s healing. Will Rod and Anna’s pilgrimage be the prayer that gets a positive answer?
Jess and Beth have been married for more than forty years. They proudly claim that they are at the “departure area” of their lives. Joking aside, the couple is seriously finding purpose in their twilight years and is still learning to live with each other. Will Jess and Beth’s pilgrimage revive and rekindle the vigor and romance of their yesteryears?
Follow the pilgrims’ quest for healing and miracles. “Kuwento ng mga Peregrino” (“Tales of Pilgrims”) is a special TV documentary produced by Jesuit Communications.
Found By Love
Found by Love is a Lenten Recollection on Bishop Chito Tagle’s reflections on the parable of the prodigal son. Getting lost is a natural part of daily life. No one can ever say that he/she never experienced getting lost in his/her lifetime. In this program we will experience hope knowing that no matter how many times we lose our way, whether by the lack of faith or being bound by sin, God’s unceasing love will always find us.
Kunin Mo O' Diyos
This Lenten special is a musical dramatization about the last days of Christ. Hosted by Joel Torre and featuring Christian Bautista as Hesus, Cooky Chua as Maria, Cathy Azanza as Maria Magdalena, and Noel Cabangon as Hudas, the musical relives the suffering of Jesus Christ to remind each person of God’s unconditional love for mankind.
Ang Pinakamahabang Pasko
In honor of the world's longest (and best) Christmas celebration, Jesuit Communications presents Ang Pinakamahabang Pasko (The Longest Christmas). This special takes a more intimate look into the Filipinos' most beloved season, mapping out the origins of Christmas as it was handed down to us by the Spanish missionaries 500 years ago, as well as its evolution into the Christmas that we know and celebrate today.
Shot entirely in HD (High Definition), this 45-minute documentary features full-scale re-enactments of Christmas celebrations of old, providing the audience with cutting edge cinematic viewing experience.
